A small review
desk in London

We are BritCrown.Hub, an independent publisher. We review UK-licensed casino brands using real accounts and publish the reasoning behind every score, including the parts operators would rather we left out.

We open a real account.

We deposit our own money.

We time every withdrawal.

We read the terms in full.

Then we publish what happened.

The method, step by step Applied identically to every brand
Step 01

Check the licence before anything else

We look the brand up on the UK Gambling Commission public register and record the licence holder, account number, licence number and status. If a brand is not on the register we do not review it, because it is not licensed to accept customers in Great Britain.

Step 02

Register and verify like anyone else

No press account, no reviewer fast-track. We complete the same identity and age checks a new customer completes, and we record how long it took and what was asked for.

Step 03

Deposit our own money

Funded from a UK debit card, in pounds sterling. Nobody credits our balance and nobody knows we are testing. Credit cards are prohibited for gambling in Great Britain, so a brand offering one would fail this step immediately.

Step 04

Time every single withdrawal

Cash-outs are requested on a schedule and timestamped twice: at request and on arrival. We report the spread, not the best case, because the slow outliers are what actually annoy people.

Step 05

Set limits and check they bind

We set deposit, loss and session limits mid-test and verify the behaviour: decreases must apply immediately, increases must wait. We also check how many taps it takes to find them, because friction in the wrong place is a real failure.

Step 06

Test support with known answers

Five contacts per brand. At least two are questions we already know the answer to, so we can judge accuracy as well as speed. Being answered quickly and wrongly is worse than being answered slowly and correctly.

Scoring weights Published so you can disagree with them
Withdrawal speed
25% — measured, not claimed
Safer gambling tools
20% — presence, placement and whether they bind
Terms transparency
20% — full conditions visible before opt-in
Support quality
15% — speed and accuracy, weighted towards accuracy
Interface & navigation
10% — load speed, clarity, absence of pop-up interruptions
Library breadth
10% — catalogued by supplier, verified by us

We put payout speed at the top because it is the thing readers contact us about most and the thing marketing material is quietest about. We keep library breadth at the bottom because a very large lobby is easy to build and tells you almost nothing about how an operator behaves when you want your money back.

Editorial rules Non-negotiable

Scores are never for sale. An operator may correct a fact, never a rating.

Commercial links are labelled on the page, not only in the small print.

Criticism stays in the review even where a commercial relationship exists.

Corrections are published with a dated note, never edited in silently.

We do not publish user-submitted reviews or comments, so nothing here is unmoderated.

Nothing on this website is aimed at anyone under 18, anywhere.

We are a publisher. We never accept a deposit, hold funds or take a wager.

Who we are not

We are not a gambling operator, an affiliate network, or a marketing arm of anyone we cover. We hold no gambling licence because we do not need one: we do not accept deposits, hold customer funds or take wagers. If you are looking for an account, our reviews will point you to the operator, and the operator — not us — will be your counterparty.

We are also not a source of financial advice. Gambling is a form of entertainment with a cost attached. Over time, the mathematics favour the operator. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

Who writes this

A small editorial team based in London. Each review is written by the person who ran the test and read by a second person before it is published. Every review carries a publication date and the length of the testing window, so you can judge for yourself whether it is still current. Re-tests happen at least twice a year and sooner if a licence status, an owner or a payout pattern changes.

How we are funded

Some outbound links to operators are commercial affiliate links. If you open an account after following one, the operator may pay us a fee. You pay nothing extra and your terms are identical either way. That arrangement funds the testing, and it is described in full — including exactly what an operator can and cannot influence — on our Disclosure page.

Tell us when we are wrong

Reader corrections and operator corrections are handled the same way. Email editorial@britcrownhub.co.uk with the page and the specific claim you dispute. If you are right, we fix it and say so at the bottom of the page with a date. If we think you are wrong, we will tell you why.
